On the road again...

October 05, 2010

We're coming to America*. Bam. We're going to load our van. We're going to get on our EZ riders and we're going to follow her along the interstates. Through the mountains, deserts, plains, bayous and along the coasts. Down the off-ramps, past the Wendyses, Super 8s, Rexalls, Jiffy Lubes, Red Lobsters, Dunkins, Adult Superstore Warehouses and straight to the throbbing hearts of 20-odd cities. And then we're going to plug in and do it.

It's been a great summer. We just finished three weeks of shows in the UK and Europe's finest halls, and maybe some other types of places. We made new friends and only one enemy, an angry man outside Paris. (He said we took him for an imbécile. But even he's our friend now.) We played some neat festivals in places like Chattanooga, Seattle, the lovely English countryside and even our hometown of Montreal.

So we're just as psyched for the fall. For this round we'll be joining Frightened Rabbit on their big US tour. We like that because they're Scottish, so they probably have cool accents and maybe even some scotch. We'll play some older songs and some newer songs and who knows what else. Here's hoping those of you who live in the neighbourhood can make it out, and to the rest of you, sure enough, see you sometime soon too.
