2010 wrap up + Canadian tour dates

We should probably tell you that we’re excited to announce our winter 2011 Canadian tour. This February! But that would be lying. In fact, the last thing we want to do right now is get in a van and white knuckle it across 10,000 kilometers of scary, frozen highway, all juiced on Tim Horton's and last night’s Mike’s Hard Lemonade.
Wait. We love you. It’s that we just got home and it’s been a while. So for us, the most exciting thing to do is to put away the suitcase, throw a mackerel on the grill and work on new music. We’re on it.
It’s been a great fall. We recently finished a month of US shows with the pride of Scotland, Frightened Rabbit. We played the Fillmore in San Francisco, the tables in Vegas, the lineups at Disneyland, the rivers of Florida, and to truly awesome crowds along pretty much the whole American perimeter. We’d like to think that we’ve been playing as together as we ever have. Thanks so much to everyone who came out and helped make it happen. It’s a good vibe to bring into the studio for sure.
All this talk is getting us excited. Woah. Just like that! Three double-doubles and a Boston cream, please. And a honey cruller too, please. We’re crossing Canada in all its exotic winter glory (except the Atlantic edge, but we’ll get there soon enough). We have two hi-fi bands joining us: Vancouver’s Yukon Blonde on the western dates, and on the eastern ones, this year’s Polaris Prize winners and fellow Montrealites, Karkwa. It will be both warm and hot. Hopefully we’ll have a new tune or two to try out on you as well. Can’t wait. Hope you’ll join us!
Last thing, we’re most delighted to wrap up the year with a sold-out show at the Blacksheep Inn in Wakefield, QC, this Friday. CBC will be there too, taping it for “Canada Live” on Radio 2.
Check out our SHOWS page for a full list of upcoming show dates.
