The Environment, Romance, New England, and Love
Just a wee thanks to all those who came out to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society’s 50th anniversary benefit two weeks ago in Ottawa, and a special one to those who donated to the cause. CPAWS raised lots of money that they will surely put towards protecting more huge swaths of vital land in Canada and many threatened species from our ham-handed human footprint. Here’s a link to the informative videos we made about some of the animals at risk such as the Grizzly Bear, the North Atlantic Right Whale and the handsome yet elusive Sage Grouse.
Also: If you missed our intimate affair at POP Montreal last month at Breakglass Studios, the good people at Sirius Radio were there to record it. The concert will be airing on Nov 22 at 10pm EST and Nov. 24 at 7pm EST on Sirius Iceberg 161 and XM radio’s The Verge 173. Grab a bottle of St-Remy French Brandy, fire up your satellite radio and hunker down.
To prime the pump, you can listen to/download the version of “Game Shows”from that concert here. “Game Shows,” we recently found out, is the soundtrack to the climax of the recently released indie comedy, Best Man Down, starring Justin Long, the Mac guy in the Mac vs PC ad campaign that you probably remember from the days before TV went Internet and Mr. Long and and ET star Drew Barrymore called it quits (before reuniting in the 2010 film Going the Distance and reportedly splitting again shortly after).
Finally, we’re excited to be heading out today to the top-right corner of the USA for a string of shows—last ones of the year. If you’re in the neighbourhood, let’s do this!
